Background

The central control system is the core of factory automation, with most modern manufacturing implementing CNC technology. From maintaining efficacy, precision, and reliability, the manufacturing processes are monitored in real-time with the highly responsive allocation of resources. Several machining processes these days have been improved by employing CNC control panel solutions, i.e., integrating embedded computers and highly customizable modular control panels.

Yet, the conventional all-in-one automation panels lack the flexibility to meet industry requirements. To address this need, Winmate created the M series of modular panel PC solutions. The modular industrial computers allow the computing box modules to be interchangeably combined with Winmate’s display modules to provide comprehensive platform solutions for industrial monitor systems and fulfill various demands of diverse applications in industrial automation.

• Standard industrial PCs lack I/O expansion capability and flexibility – The CNC adopts an embedded computer platform as a control server to run software, download complex CNC programs, and do calculations. To support such a complex performance and multi-tasking machine, an embedded system with expansion capability, fanless operation, powerful functions, good performance, small size, and high integration is the best choice.
• Harsh working environment - Factories and industrial applications usually include extreme environments, such as water splash, dust, debris, strong vibration, and wide temperature variations. So, a modular panel PC must withstand those challenges and offer durability and long life.

Its front side is rated to IP65 for water and dust resistance while keeping a compact and narrow bezel design, suitable for use in wet and dusty environments.
