Intelligent Digital Lockers

Background

TZ Limited ("TZ") adopted Winmate E Series HMI panel PC for use in TZ SMArt Locker systems, a state-of-the-art smart digital locker that provides secure, convenient, and cost-effective logistical solutions to a variety of industries. TZ SMArt Locker systems are masterly crafted, purposely configured, and smartly branded, but it is our end-to-end electronic hardware and software solution that sets us apart in the smart locker marketplace.

Multiple configuration lockers have been developed for a wide range of applications such as workplaces, universities, and end of trip facilities. The E Series HMI touch control panels from 7-inch to 15.6-inch screens were a perfect fit for the solution – elegant design, easy to install, and seamless fit into the equipment space. With multiple I/O support, connectivity, and control worked with all devices inside the self-service kiosk.

The recent COVID-19 outbreak accelerated the need for contactless self-service delivery solutions. TZ SMArt Lockers provide intelligent storage, delivery, and exchange solutions that cater to the mobile, agile, and contact-free workplace.

Main Challenges

• Meeting new business needs – The latest outbreak skyrocketed the demand for contactless delivery solutions. Apart from retails, other industries began to deploy smart lockers, including biotechnology firms, healthcare facilities, corporations, and government institutions. In this project, managing higher volumes at the time of lockdown was a challenge.
• Outdoor installation – Weatherproof outdoor locker systems are designed and engineered to protect boxes or packages and stand up to whatever the day may bring; sun, rain, snow, and wind. All the components in the system must be rugged and durable enough to withstand challenging outdoor environments.

• Elegant design – Winmate E Series HMI terminals feature a genuinely flat surface that is easy-to-clean. Its sleek design front panel offers an aesthetically pleasing look that fits into modern interiors and exteriors.
• Responsive touch screen – The E Series HMI terminals come with a very responsive projected capacitive touchscreen (PCAP) and support multi-touch operations that can easily be controlled by fingers, improving the convenience of using the panel.
